California’s proposed state-funded LTC plan may be happening sooner than you think. The government’s currently working on new legislation that would provide a state-funded long-term care plan, via income tax, to all California residents. It’s called Assembly Bill 567 (or AB567).

While there are still plenty of unknowns, what we do know is that a California task force has planned out particular dates for implementation and for opt-out eligibility.
