GRAIL is an innovative healthcare company behind a medical breakthrough: multi-cancer early detection. Using a revolutionary method known as the Galleri Test, they can screen for many of the deadliest cancers that do not currently have a recommended screening otherwise. First, a patient’s blood is drawn, and then a machine learning algorithm is used to determine if DNA fragments originate from cancer cells. This breakthrough led GRAIL to join with the National Health Service in England, conducting the biggest health study in that system’s history, and it’s now led to partnering with the life insurance industry. John Hancock and Munich Reinsurance were the first adopters, and now 10 more insurance carriers are on board.
